A mountain pony has adopted 3 orphaned lambs in what is an unlikely situation of animal bonding.
10 year old horse Heidi took on the take care of the young trio pursuing the loss of life of their possess mom, and even feeds them with her individual milk.
The maternal mare is on loan to Becky Popham, who keeps her in a area in Somerset.

The newborn sheep, named Prince, Dewdrop and George who are all 4-week-olds, were bought by Becky Popham
She purchased the infant sheep – Prince, Dewdrop and George, all 4-week-olds – from a farmer and set them in with Heidi.
Ms Popham reported the Welsh mountain pony shortly grew to become worried about the lambs and began lying with them.

‘Heidi commenced by lying down with them and from there they begun standing beneath her. She then started out licking them and she’s creating a minor bit of milk to feed them.

‘I ran it past the vet and he said it is certainly high-quality, and it really is just a single of individuals random factors of mother nature. Her maternal instincts have just kicked in.
‘She lets them latch on and they butt up into her udders like lambs do – and she stands there and licks them, it is really really lovable. She naturally understood they wanted a mummy.’
‘What she’s carrying out with the lambs is so unusual,’ Becky included. ‘I’ve only heard of it happening as soon as before.’
